Attending B.A.Y.S. at The California Maritime Academy is a privilege. We are all guests of the facilities we are using and, for that reason, we expect the Code of Conduct to be followed by all attendees of the workshop. All attendees will be held responsible for knowing these rules and, therefore, abiding by them.
The Bay Area Yearbook Seminar Code of Conduct is as follows:

All students are expected to attend their class during the designated session times.
- No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs may be possessed or used at any time or under any circumstances. There is no tolerance for any violation of this rule. Students in violation will be expelled, without a refund; also, with the possibility of police intervention.
- Smoking is not allowed within the facitlites used by our camp.
- All students must refrain from using inappropriate language and are to act in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Curfews will be enforced and followed by all attendees. If a planned evening activity runs over a curfew time, a new curfew will be announced.
- No guests of attendees are permitted without prior consent of B.A.Y.S. staff.
- Regulations require that there be separate living quarters for unmarried men and women. Attendees must respect these separate areas at all times.
- Any damage (intentional or unintentional) made to any property or furnishings within The California Maritime Academy campus will be billed to the individual(s) responsible.
- Students are not permitted to leave the camp facilities at any time - even if you drive and have permission from your parents.
- Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct will result in expulsion from the camp at the expense of the indivudual or the individual's parents. No refunds will be give.
The California Maritime Academy Code of Conduct will be provided to you upon your arrival to camp. It is required that all attendees follow the rules of both B.A.Y.S. and The California Maritime Academy, whereby ensuring that everyone who attends our seminar enjoys a productive, pleasurable experience.
